The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, welcomed a baby boy on 6th May 2019 at 05:26 BST. Also, as per the Royal Couple’s Instagram account, the baby’s weight was 7 pounds and 3 ounces. Moreover, the notice of Buckingham Palace stated that Meghan’s mother was with her daughter at Frogmore Cottage when the baby was born. Yes, the baby had a home birth at the couple’s Windsor cottage.
Indeed, the Cottage was renovated for a projected $3 million before the couple moved in. Besides, this is not the first time that a royal baby has been born at home. In fact, the Queen’s four children were born at home too.
Behind Harry, the newborn comes seventh in line to the British throne. The infant is, also, the first interracial baby in the British Dynasty’s recent history.
After the baby’s birth, Prince Harry came out of the cottage to share the news with the mediapersons who were present. More so, he said that both mother and baby were doing fine. He, also, mentioned that both he and Meghan were ‘absolutely thrilled’ to become parents.
Surprisingly, the sex of the baby was not known to the couple before birth. Well, they chose not to find out beforehand. Apparently, Meghan had mentioned to her closed ones that she did not know the baby’s sex during her royal side to Merseyside in the month of January.
